TEC Connections Academy works closely with families to ensure that students understand graduation requirements in Massachusetts and have the support they need to fulfill those requirements. EARN YOUR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA IN MASSACHUSETTS
Students who attend online school and meet Massachusetts graduation requirements receive the same diploma as their peers who attend brick-and-mortar public schools in the state.
How Many Credits Do You Need to Graduate High School in Massachusetts?
Students must successfully earn a minimum of 24 credits and a passing score on the MCAS Exams (English Language Arts, Math, Science) to graduate in Massachusetts. Be sure to check your school handbook for updates. The course credits required to graduate online schooling for high school are included below.
TEC Connections Academy High School Credit Requirements
- English: 4 credits
- Math: 4 credits (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, any additional Math course)
- Social Studies: 4 credits (US History I, US History II, World History and any additional Social Studies elective)
- Science: 3 credits (Biology, Chemistry, any additional Lab Science)
- Physical Education: 1 credit
- Health: 1 credit
- Art: 1 credit
- World Language: 2 credits (must be two levels of the same World Language)
- College and Career: 2 credits
- Electives: 2 credits (any approved elective course)
